The Cahoon Museum is an intimate art gallery housing the paintings of Ralph and Martha Cahoon. Ralph's works utilized vibrant colors to depict fantastical ocean scenes festooned with mermaids and hot air balloons; Martha's works featured a softer palette, and scenes with children, animals, and other loving details of country life. The museum resides in the Cahoon's former home, an elegant 18th-century Georgian Colonial just north of downtown, at the intersection of highways 130 and 28.
